Week 3, Thing 8
I first visited the Dangerously Irrelevant (Scott McLeod) blog and then linked to the CASTLE site to read through exemplary 21st century schools in the US and abroad. I then checked out the two schools (district in one case) in Colorado: Littleton (for distributing netbooks to all fifth, sixth, and ninth grade language arts students) and Boulder's Watershed School (I think I'll share their YouTube video about gooledocs with my sixth graders). I didn't see a place for a comment, so I then moved on to the Cool Cat Teacher's blog and skimmed through the most popular ways that teens cheat electronically, particularly of interest to me because DCC is working on the honor code this year. I did not leave a comment yet, but will try to do so soon.
